SWRR is an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Your donation is tax deductible. We operate solely on
income from donations from SWRR members, volunteers, the general public, sponsors and occasional grant funds
for designated projects. We depend on the generosity of community members and organizations to allow us to
provide food and medical care to the over 1000 injured, orphaned, and sick animals we receive per year. There are
numerous expenses that we incur to care for these animals, with over $15,000.00 spent on food alone.

To become a member, renew your membership and/or make a contribution download this form:

and mail it to the address provided. Members will receive our quarterly news letter, Call of the Wild (see below) and
may attend functions put on by the organization. Note: for
volunteer applications use the forms in the "Volunteer
Opportunities" section below instead of this form.

Donations Other Than Monetary
SWRR is always in need of donations of materials and supplies. For a list of typical suggested items, please

Supplies Needed list (pdf file, 168 kB).

Volunteer Opportunities
Shasta Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. is an all-volunteer organization that needs your help to continue this
vital work in our community. Without this organization the animals would not be able to get a second chance at
survival in the wild.

SWRR is always in need of hard-working, reliable volunteers with a love for nature. If animal care is not your passion,
volunteer opportunities are available in our education program, fund raising events and non-animal care.

We are now taking applications for volunteers to help feed and care for baby birds at the Wildlife Center in
Anderson River Park. Have you ever found a baby bird and wondered what to do with it? Is that baby really an
orphan? Find out what you need to know to care for the summer babies at the Center. We'll train you and only
require that you volunteer for one 4 hour shift a week at the center. The babies are depending on us!

If you are a teenager 13 to 17 years old, you can work with us in the Young Volunteers category. Please read the
Policies & Procedures Manual (download below) for more information. A volunteer must be 18 to work with any
raptors.

It is a requirement that all volunteers become members of our organization, as membership fees help to cover the
operating expenses of the center.

If you have questions, you can call the Center and ask to speak to our Volunteer Coordinator or you may contact her
directly:
