Love Your Pet Expo
- April 14, 2007
Shasta Wildlife participated in the
Love Your Pet Expo at the Shasta County Fairgrounds in 2007. We maintained a
booth there with

Volunteer Fair - January 25, 2008
The Volunteer Fair is where all volunteer groups in our area can get known to the public. SWRR maintained a booth

Rocky Point Charter School Book Celebration - April 5, 2008
PLACE:  Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Redding
A book about birds, written by the students in
Rocky Point Charter School's K-1 class, was celebrated. All proceeds
were donated to Shasta Wildlife Rescue.

SWRR On TV - January thru June, 2008
The
Redding Community Access Channel 11 program on Shasta Wildlife Rescue was shown at various times in
2008. Check their
Program Guide for the return of this program.

Close Up Encounters with Birds of Prey - October 5, 2008
Shasta Wildlife Rescue showed birds of prey and provided information about them. Location was the HCCP
parking area on Clear Creek Road, about seven miles west of Highway 273. For more information see

Redding Whole Earth Festival - April 25, 2009

1st Annual Mountain Animal and Art Faire - August  22, 2009
Time: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (SWRR booth until 4:00 pm)
Location: Camp McCumber, Shingletown
Sponsored by: R.A.I.N. (Rescued Animals in Need)
There was lots of booths, animal demonstrations, wine tasting and other exhibits including a booth staffed by SWRR

Class, California Department of Fish and Game, Continuing Education Series - August 31, 2009
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Place:
Anderson Fire Station (see ACC meeting section below for directions)
The lecture was presented by Susan Howell of the
Wildlife Education Rehabilitation Center in Morgan Hill along with
two of her employees including Dorothy Johnson, Animal Curator of the
Youth Science Institute of San Jose. Topics
of discussion were acorn woodpeckers, sanitation in a rehab setting and bobcat protocol for other mammals, with
an open question and answer session following.

KIXE TV-9 Nature Program - October 18, 2009
Time: 7:30 pm
North state public television station
KIXE TV-9 assembled its biggest production team ever, the viewers from its 10-
county coverage area, and sent them out on assignment. The goal: produce video footage of wildlife and the natural
settings it enjoys in our region. It’s “Nature: Caught in the Act,” a new festival that matches emerging video
technology with the abundant outdoor opportunities in the north state. KIXE is partnering with the Turtle Bay
Exploration Park in Redding, the Chico Creek Nature Center in Butte County, the Sacramento Discovery Center
Museum in Red Bluff, and
Shasta Wildlife Rescue. For more information click here and here.

CCWR North Country Rehabilitators' Conference - May 8-9, 2010

present the flyer with your purchase. This is a great way to support SWRR while enjoying Mary's pizzas, pastas and
salads. This program is good for dine-in, take-out, delivery or gift card purchases. SWRR would like to thank Mary's
Pizza Shack for putting on this fundraiser for us.

I am proud to tell you all that our Dine & Donate fund raising event went very well. Our totals were $790.65 in revenue
X 20% = $158.13 for SWRR.
