14th Annual “Run for the Wild” Fund Raiser - 2014
Run For the Wild

This event is held the first Saturday in April every year. The Run goes through beautiful
Anderson River Park
right along the

At 8:30 am there is a 2-Mile Rabbit Run/Walk and also a 5-mile Run. This year the 5 mile Run is a single lap
around the park.
At 10:00 am there is a Hatchling Quarter Mile Run (for preschoolers through 5th grade).

Family Fun Fest and Kids Fishing Day
This year we are excited to hold our event in conjunction with the FAMILY FUN FEST organized by the
Anderson Recreation Department
Anderson Partnership for Healthy Children
. Also on the same day is
the KIDS FISHING DAY organized by the local division of the
California Department of Fish and Wildlife
focus of these events will be on healthy physical activities. Our Run for the Wild sponsors will receive

Open House, Facility Tours and Baby Bird Shower
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (after the Run is over)
Location: SWRR facility, 3752 Rupert Road
to our facility
Every year before the rescues start to come to the center, we are open on this day only, to the general
public. Tours of the facility are given and you can get up close and personal with the

Hundreds attend annual Open House, Baby Animal Shower
Visitors are encouraged to bring a Baby Bird Shower gift of paper towels, toilet paper, heating pads, food,
etc. to help defray the cost of running the center during the year. For suggestions on "Baby Bird Shower"
